Online Safety
The internet has changed all of our lives, particularly those of our children. For parents and carers, this opens up a whole new world of opportunities, but also a range of online risks such as social media, online gaming, cyberbullying, inappropriate content and unsafe websites.
At Liskeard Hillfort Primary School, we use NetSweeper, a leading web filtering and online safeguarding platform, to help protect our pupils when using school devices and internet services. NetSweeper helps us to monitor internet usage, filter inappropriate content and create a safe digital environment where children can learn, explore and develop their digital skills responsibly.
Online safety is one of our key priorities. We teach children how to stay safe online and ensure that appropriate systems are in place to support and safeguard them while using technology in school. However, online safety is a shared responsibility and there are many useful resources available to help parents and carers support safe internet use at home.
