But, they have shown resilience, gorgeous manners, a love of learning and an excitement for life! They leave well prepared for secondary life, and we will miss them….https://www.hillfort.org.uk/year-6-leavers/ Year 4 had a great time playing the new school set of glockenspiels for the first time. They hugely enjoyed it and asked to have Music again the next day! We’re so proud to say that, in January, the University of Plymouth approached our school to design a logo! The University works with many other schools, not-for-profit organisations and charities to improve people’s lives. University colleagues work with those groups to research how to improve provision. The name of this project is “UPPScale”.However, they were missing a logo and needed our help!We asked pupils to design a logo to represent partnership. The values that needed to be reflected were:• Partnership• Collaboration• Everyone being equal• Finding things out to make schools betterWe let their imaginations run riot and then the winner’s work was sent to a professional to design and refine the illustration.Congratulations to both Will and Hunter in Year 4, whose designs were mashed together to create this fantastic logo for the university! Brilliant work! Isaac, Year 6, has kindly gifted the school with this lovely centerpiece! The stone features the Liskeard Hillfort trees and the words “Work hard, be kind and amazing things will happen”. A fantastic representation of our champions values! The Year 5s were aiding the Year 1s with their coding skills yesterday afternoon. The atmosphere was full of buzz as the Year 1s began their journey through Code.org. Year 3 have been super busy today making their very own pasties! Each pupil designed and created their pasty, all helping to prepare their own meals as part of their DT work.
